Lamination and Binding Policies
We are pleased to announce the purchase of a brand-new laminator in the Carroll University Library. Our new machine will help us provide you with a more efficient service and a higher quality product. Please note that our lamination and binding policies have been updated for fall 2007.
Materials to be laminated and/or bound may be taken to the Learning Commons desk on the lower level of the library.
Hours:
Monday - Thursday 9am-8pm
Friday 9am - 1pm
Items will be completed while you wait. As the laminator takes time to warm up before usage, please allow a minimum of 15 minutes for completion of your order. Actual processing time will depend on the size of the order and the number of orders to be completed.
Cost:
Lamination: $.25/foot (rounded up to the nearest whole foot)
Binding: $.25 per comb
Size limitations:
Maximum width for items to be laminated: 24"
Maximum length: No limit
Binding combs are 11" long but can be cut down to a smaller size. Items as think as 2" may be bound.
Important! Please NOTE:
- While we will make every effort to complete your order immediately, there may be times where we are completing multiple or large orders. We appreciate your patience.
- Patrons will not be allowed to laminate their own orders. Library staff trained in the lamination and binding processes will handle all requests.
- We cannot laminate items containing glitter, wet glue, heavy crayon, or staples. We cannot laminate thick materials such as cardboard.
- We will not deconsruct and bind previously published books.
- Unless otherwise specified, all materials will be bound on the left hand side.
- Hours subject to change during campus closures, exam weeks, and semester breaks.
- Carroll University library reserves the right to refuse any materials. The Library is not responsible for damaged items.
