- Think of terms related to the topic: (diet or nutrition) ( education or counseling or advice)
- Conduct a search in PioPac. Go directly to the Advanced Search.

Finding Articles: Using Indexes and Databases
- From the Library homepage, choose the tab “Online Databases”
- Choose the link to “..list of electronic databases”
- In these resources you will find tools to search for articles, reports and other information contained in journals, magazines, and other sources.
- The best databases for this topic are: Academic Search Elite, Health Source Plus, Medline (PubMed or Ebsco), ERIC (the education database) and CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature)
Tips for searching an article database:
- State your topic
- Think of terms related to the topic
- Remember to read the abstract to determine if the result is on target and to evaluate relevance to the topic.
